The Quickest & Easiest Strawberry Caprese Salad

This may sound like a weird combination salad, but once you take a bite, the combination of flavors will make you go WOW!   Yes, balsamic vinegar meets strawberries.  Add that to the ever so yummy combination of mozzarella and basil and you have one tasty lunch.  Light, refreshing, and more importantly healthy.

Benefits of the Salad

Strawberries are super great for you, ranging from high pack of vitamin C to folate to great antioxidants that help prevent diseases.  My choice for a great summer salad as it’s not only refreshing, in season, but super healthy for our body.

Basil is a great herb that also is a power packer antioxidant, helps fight inflammation,  contains antibacterial and antimicrobial properties to fight germs and infections.  To boot, it promotes good cardiovascular health

(fresh) Mozzarella cheese is a great, healthy cheese.  It contains many of the vitamin B’s that we need in our daily life, has calcium to keep strong, and contains zinc, which helps clean our skin and increases white blood count.  And don’t forget a good source of protein.

Add these three great ingredients together, top it off with a little Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Balsamic, and WOW, and energy packed salad.

The Quickest & Easiest Healthy Strawberry Caprese Salad

Sounds a bit odd but oh how flavorful and your tastebuds will go WOW. you’ll need a  16 oz mason jar to put all this in if you want this to be a Go-and-Carry lunch. Related

  • Serves: 1


  • 3/4 c cut up mozzarella, or buy small mozzarella balls found in specialty cheese section
  • 3/4 c organic strawberries, cut in quarters
  • 1/4 c fresh basil
  • 1/8 c organic lettuce, your choice of type
  • 6 tbsp. organic extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp. balsamic vinegar
  • salt and pepper to taste


  1. in mason jar, add olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper. mix
  2. add strawberries as bottom layer mozzarella as middle layer basil and lettuce as top layer
  3. place lid on and place in frig until ready to eat.
  4. when ready to eat, keep lid on and shake upside down to get olive oil and vinegar mixture to coat all layers. take off lid and mix layers, optional, and eat - On The Go Lunch. Or pour in bowl and mix layers together and enjoy
